When students are unable to continue their studies, the CanSerra Scholarship program provides funding to make their dreams come true!

My name is Kaday Alima Bangura and I am 24 years old. I was born in a small village called Rogbin but grew up in the capital Freetown. I have only one brother.

I attended the CanSerra High School and got a good WASSCE result in 2020 that helped me gain entry into the nursing program at the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology Makeni Campus. Success into this program couldn't have been possible if not for the timely intervention of a loving and kind hearted humanitarian in Canada

Words cannot be enough to show you how much I appreciate your concern to people like us you don't even know. Thank you so much.

I am presently in my 2nd year of nursing program at the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology Makeni Campus.

I love soccer and it is my favourite sport. I love to dance and cook. I know how to prepare different types of foods especially our African meals. I promise to prepare you a very delicious African meal at any time you visit our country.

Thank you for the support and everything you have contributed towards my education.

Hello Sponsors,

My name is Josephine Adama Conteh and I am 21 years old. I was born on the 13th day of October 2001. I am from an extended family of four children all girls, and I am the second child. I am a Sierra Leonean, a Temne by tribe and also a Christian by religion.

I grew up at a very crowded community in the Central part of my country. I am not from a rich family so having this scholarship is blessing to my life and i will forever be grateful for it.

I attended the CanSerra Secondary school and got a good result to enter into University. Currently am a second year Law student at the University of Makeni. Being a lawyer has always been my passion and seeing justice served in the right way gives me joy.

At first, due to financial constraints I never thought that I’ll be able to go to college, but thanks to God for the CanSerra scholarship I am now a student.

I love reading and especially enjoy reading novels.
I am good at hairdressing, and one thing I always get praises for is my handwriting.

My dream is to one day become a successful lawyer and in turn give back to society, and help children especially orphans, and see that the girl child Education is a must, and to also help the needy. Thank you.

Josephine.
